If travelling by car

• Or, just try googling 'Granny House, Bell Busk' and follow these simple instructions:
  • Drive to Coniston Cold on the A65, abandon your sat nav, turn North signed Bell Busk and Malham, but drive only 1 mile.
  • Turn right over a pink stone hump back bridge and immediately right again into a single track lane.
  • Up and over a 2nd stone bridge, there is a shallow ditch on the North side of this lane. The lane is a little lumpy bumpy and without tarmac but my sports car doesn't complain, just drive slowly.
  • You will find Granny House 400m up there on the left.
  • Granny House is a Yorkshire laithe with a house at one end and a barn at the other. You will be staying in the House!
  • The house is at the far end, on the East side of the building, so drive past the westie weather vane and aim for the white side door under the racing horse weather vane.
  • Use this white door for entering and leaving.

The gates open out into the lane. The lane widens here to help you drive in. You must shut the gates after arriving and leaving.

Top tip: If traveling from the South, come up M6 then M65 off at J13, through Barrowford, Gisburn and Hellifield to Coniston Cold. Avoid M1 Bradford Leeds route!

If travelling from the East, drive up the A1 to Wetherby and then across country via the A59 and A65.
